This was very thorough and I appreciate all the information given regarding the attacker in Traverse City. I noticed that the news did not list any of his prior offenses.

I have admired him and his expertise since I was very young. I recently met him twice at the weather classes that were held through the National Weather Service for becoming a storm spotter.
So do I have this right? With the help of unarmed bystanders, and without killing anyone, a Black man (ok, a Marine veteran), with his own gun, stopped a murderous man with a knife who had stabbed multiple people ? Without firing a shot?
Seems to me that example conclusively shows the hypocrisy of U.S. policing including that of the ICE "tough guy" pretenders.
Very good question. We are far too lax in letting felony offenders plea down or shorten their sentences.
