This is just an FYI for staff, to let you know how enjoyable your Program is.
1). The Rabbit River Photo in Hamilton: The water was so high and fierce years ago (25?) that they placed several full-sized train cars on top of the rail tracks to stabilize the bridge. This photo just shows the pilings to those tracks crossing above the waterfall. Hamilton has several good restaurants too, (The Trestle Stop) and an ice cream shop if you make an afternoon of it. [In the mid-70's, I lived in Plainwell and worked in Holland so drove past this beautiful location twice a day.]
2). You mentioned several memorable burger 'take -out' restaurants.. . In the early 70's, after my sister graduated from college [and her fiancé came back from being on a Destroyer in Cambodia] she got a summer job off 54th and Division in GR. Why was she hired? B/C she could roller skate and all the waitresses were required to..as they served trays that clamped on driver-side car windows. It wasn't a 'Drive-Thru", but sure was fun to pull up, park, and be waited on by these efficient, hard workers. They made around $.60 and hour plus tips. [That Fall she did get her desired Teaching job].
