Hi, everyone, it is Daughter #3. I know these pictures look like Michigan, but I’m actually in Birmingham, Alabama! They announced on Wednesday that our local school would be canceled for today (Friday). I just checked, and most of the commercial flights at the airport are canceled for today. The local government authority sent out a text asking people to stay off the roads. We’re in a pretty hilly area, so that was good advice.
Our current temperature is 33 degrees, as of 10:50 a.m. CST. Good thing I brought all my winter gear when we moved from Michigan. We might see the sun return on Sunday, but the wintry mix is expected to continue into Saturday.
I have two part-time jobs, and one of them is work from home. So I’ll be here cozy and working. When I’m not working I like to play the piano. What do you like to do when it’s too icy to go out?
Up until today that was more snow than was on the ground here in St Johns just north of Lansing.
Wow that’s crazy! I’m currently in Austin TX and we just missed the ice and snow… the WWA was only one county to the west. Definitely quite the cold snap
