2025 is 1/12 over already. The older you get, the faster time flies. In today’s episode, we’ll talk about Saturday’s weather - increasing clouds. Also, we’ll talk about Groundhog’s Day, give an update about the Grand Rapids Public Museum water leak and go over the January highs and lows.
Are you hoping for 6 more weeks of winter? Not me. I lived in Northern Michigan for several years and learned how to ski while I was there. I liked getting out to ski, but then when I took the job with the airline it provided plenty of outside time in the winter. De-icing aircraft was actually a lot of fun. I liked being in the cherry picker bucket more than I liked driving the truck - the airline managed to teach me how to do both. We had a few days of snow in Alabama, but I only had to wear a coat for a few days. I might get back up to Michigan at the end of February. We’re still trying to get Dad on video, so I need to take a look at his computer and see if we can make any progress on that.
Have a great Saturday everyone!

It was noted that Punxsutawney Phil is a father this year. Does that mean if he does or does not see his shadow on Fathers Day there will be six more weeks of spring? Hope not, as that would make for a short Alaskan like summer.
On a somber note RIP… Fred la marmotte, a beloved groundhog from Quebec, Canada, died on February 2, 2023, hours before Groundhog Day. The groundhog was found dead during hibernation, and organizers used a stuffed toy to make a prediction for the crowd. That made for some tough live TV that day.
