It was very sad to read that the Calder Festival Of The Arts, after being the big kick off to summer in West Michigan for over 50 years, will no longer be! With the GOP canceling funding for things such as DEI, NEA and so many other programs and agencies that believe in and celebrate inclusion, it is no wonder that the Festival which truly was a massive celebration of diversity and inclusion is now gone. It's heartbreaking that this is what our country has become. My Dad and Uncles fought in WW2 to over throw a dictator, and for freedom to celebrate things like this and now we have a dictator in the White House who is against these very things! Heaven help us all!
